A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Abdugani Sanginov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, dedicated to the effectiveness of geological exploration work, the efficiency of geological and technical activities, and ensuring the stability of natural gas production.

It was attended by industry research institutes, geologists, geophysicists, and mining and drilling specialists, who discussed the effective use of existing reserves, the identification of new resources, and the development of scientifically based solutions to counteract natural changes observed in mining processes.

As noted, achieving high results in the oil and gas sector today is directly related, first of all, to the widespread implementation of scientific achievements in practice. From this point of view, the issues of changing well debits, efficiency of field exploitation, management of liquefaction processes, and improvement of technological solutions in drilling and development were considered in a comprehensive manner.

The meeting discussed the work being carried out this year to significantly expand the scope of geological exploration, in particular, to almost double the volume of 3D seismic surveys. The tasks of identifying new resources and further improving the accuracy of geological data by organizing additional seismic exploration in promising investment blocks in the Bukhara-Khiva and Ustyurt regions were set.

The Chairman of the Board emphasized the need for in-depth analysis of well productivity in newly opened fields, increasing the reliability of resource forecasts, and widely applying modern scientific approaches. It was noted that further strengthening cooperation with industry scientific institutes, geophysical organizations, and international service companies is of great importance in this regard.

Currently, in order to modernize the geophysical sector, cooperation with foreign companies is being carried out to purchase modern geophysical equipment, high-precision research technologies, advanced software, and supercomputers with high computing power. It was noted that this will serve to increase the quality and speed of data processing in the sector.

At the same time, training highly qualified personnel and regularly improving the knowledge and skills of existing specialists for the effective use of modern technologies was identified as an important task.

During the discussions, issues of scientifically based organization of cementing, perforation, filter installation, and well development work, as well as prevention of technological errors and losses, were also considered, given the increasing depth of well drilling.

The need for additional research to identify well waterlogging processes early and reduce their negative impact on flow was noted.

At the end of the meeting, specific tasks were set to improve the quality and efficiency of geological exploration work, ensure the accuracy of geological models, strengthen scientific approaches to well placement, widely introduce modern technologies, and increase the potential of highly qualified personnel in the field.
