On June 24-25 of this year, at the initiative of the Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC on Spirituality and Enlightenment, State Language and Women's Issues and with the financial support of the French organization "Expertise France", a seminar-training on the topic "Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women in the Energy Sector of Uzbekistan" was organized.
The events, which were attended by heads of enterprises and organizations of the system located in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm and Bukhara regions, as well as responsible specialists, included presentations and discussions on the gender policy implemented in our country, its importance in the energy sector, women's leadership and professional development, eliminating outdated views in the gender sphere, as well as mechanisms and strategies for implementing this policy.
These seminars and trainings are one of the practical measures aimed at ensuring the implementation of the tasks set out in the "Strategy for Achieving Gender Equality by 2030" of the Republic of Uzbekistan. From this point of view, studying the best practices of the world, expanding cooperation with international organizations specializing in the field, and improving the knowledge and skills of employees in this area are of great importance for the effective implementation of these tasks.
Practical sessions organized during the events with the participation of international experts allowed participants to learn best practices in implementing gender equality principles in work processes.
