Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Abdugani Sanginov met with a delegation led by Vice President of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) Sun Dayun.
It was noted that the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China is developing steadily, and the favorable environment created by the leaders of the two countries has brought mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector to a new level.
The parties noted that the results of the meeting held in February this year between the management of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and Dai Houlian, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNPC, gave a new impetus to cooperation.
The conversation noted the increase in the pace of joint projects, contracts and services implemented by Uzbekneftegaz JSC with Chinese companies. A significant part of this cooperation falls on the enterprises within CNPC.
During the negotiations, the activities of the Asia Trans Gas joint venture, the results achieved in the field of natural gas transportation, as well as the current status of the development of hydrocarbon deposits by the New Silk Road joint venture were reviewed.
At the same time, the progress of the project to drill 30 deep exploration wells in the Ustyurt region was discussed, and the importance of mobilizing equipment more quickly, accelerating installation work, and starting drilling work within the established deadlines was noted.
They also exchanged views on the work being carried out by the "CCDC" company to eliminate the man-made accident at the "Mustaqillikkin 25 yilligi" mine in the Boysun district. Special attention was paid to the issues of fully mobilizing the necessary equipment, specialists and resources for the timely and high-quality implementation of the project.
The parties noted that mutual trust and many years of fruitful cooperation create a solid foundation for further strengthening relations between the two companies, implementing new investment projects, and expanding long-term partnerships in the oil and gas sector.
At the end of the meeting, agreements were reached to accelerate the implementation of the identified projects, develop new areas of cooperation, and further develop relations.
